How Do I Praise You?
How can I love You enough, Lord? What can I give?
I have nothing to offer, nothing to exchange,
Nothing worth much of anything, except Your Spirit.
But my life I give to You. My mind, soul and spirit are Yours.
My heart is Yours, as is my future.
Only You have the right to me. You created me.
The Potter at His wheel, turning mud to art.
You are My treasure, My child. You are fearfully and wonderfully made
I hear your wish to express the inexpressible, and it is enough.
I accept your life, and return to you joy, peace, and a place at My table.
My Lord, how can I praise You enough?
Where inside of me can I call up enough worship
To give You what You deserve?
Will eternity be long enough to honor You
Even half as much as You are due?
Your love is what I desire above all things.
Encase your worship, praise and honor In your love for Me.
For without love, it is all useless.
Father, can I know Your name? I call You many things:
Lord, God Almighty, Jehovah, my Creator, my King,
Yahweh, Elohim, and many, many more.
But nothing says it all.
Can I have a word to describe You, Lord?
I am your loving Father.
No other name spoken by My children means as much to Me.
My heart is bursting with love and worship, Lord.
I know Your Spirit is enabling me to love this much.
Apart from You, I don’t have the capacity
To love this deeply, this unconditionally.
But I do. I do love You, my Lord, regardless of any storms
or trials that come my way. And there have been a few.
I hear the desires of your heart, little one. I receive your love,
And fill your heart with My Spirit, Who comforts and counsels.
I offer myself as a vessel for You, Holy Spirit.
I open myself up to You without condition.
Enter, remove all that does not please You.
Fix what is broken
Break what is hardened
Let me feel You changing me from the inside out.
You have opened yourself up to My Spirit, beloved
And your body is His temple.
But you are not a vessel. A vessel holds.
You are a channel. A channel receives,
And gives, only to receive more
In an endless cycle of My love.
A channel, My child, not a vessel.
